Golden Ten Data reported on April 29 that major Indian airlines have issued warnings that they may suspend services unless the government reduces aviation fuel prices. According to a letter, the "Federation of Indian Airlines," which represents airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet, stated in a letter to the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation: "The Indian aviation industry is under extreme pressure and is on the verge of bankruptcy or ceasing operations." They have requested the reinstatement of the price cap on aviation fuel implemented during the pandemic, as well as tax reliefs or deferrals.
