Ronin will migrate to Ethereum Layer 2 on May 12
Foresight News reports that the gaming public chain Ronin has announced it will migrate to Ethereum Layer 2 on May 12. During this process, there will be approximately a 10-hour downtime window for on-chain operations, after which normal operations will resume. Its underlying architecture will be built on OP Stack and incorporate EigenDA as the data availability layer. Users are advised to unstake their RON before the May 12 migration date, or the system will automatically unstake for users after the migration is complete.
After this migration, RON's annual inflation rate will drop from over 20% to below 1%. The treasury will gain continuous revenue from staking, net Sequencer profits, and Marketplace fees (with the share increasing from 0.5% to 1.25%). Ronin is also launching a "Proof of Allocation" rewards mechanism based on the "Builder Score," which will automatically distribute RON rewards to ecosystem builders on a monthly basis. Registration is now open.
