Apple CEO Cook: MacBook Neo demand is extremely strong

Golden Ten Data reported on May 1 that Apple (AAPL.O) CEO Tim Cook stated that the demand for the company's new entry-level laptop, MacBook Neo, is extremely strong and its pricing is lower than some analysts expected. Cook said in a conference call with analysts, "Customer response to Mac Neo has been extremely enthusiastic." Cook noted that the company was optimistic about the product’s prospects before its launch, but underestimated the level of excitement it would generate, which led to supply constraints. Cook also said that this model helped Apple set a record for the number of new customers for its MacBook product line in the second fiscal quarter.
