Abel: Berkshire's high cash reserves provide significant operational flexibility

Glonghui, May 2 — In response to the virtual Buffett’s question of “why investors should continue to hold Berkshire Hathaway stock”, Abel emphasized the company’s cash and U.S. Treasury reserves of up to $397 billion, which provide the company with great operational freedom. “We hold cash and U.S. Treasuries, which serve multiple purposes, and we do not intend to be constrained by anyone.”
