Michael Saylor strongly recommends STRC, calling it a lower-volatility alternative to BTC and MSTR.
ChainCatcher News, according to a report from Bitcoin.com, Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor recently published an article explaining STRC's positioning as a low-volatility investment tool related to Bitcoin.
STRC is Strategy's perpetual preferred stock with an annual dividend yield of 11.5%, paid monthly in cash. The dividend rate is adjusted each month to encourage trading near the $100 par value and to reduce price volatility. Saylor stated that STRC is a credit product designed for income, stability, liquidity, and principal protection, backed by the company's Bitcoin and US dollar assets. The preferred stock structure is more scalable and durable than debt.
Strategy has proposed changing the STRC dividend payment frequency from once a month to twice a month (on the 15th and at the end of the month), with the total annual dividend remaining unchanged. The aim is to stabilize the price, suppress cyclicality, and enhance liquidity. Saylor used metaphors to distinguish the three: STRC is an airliner, BTC is a fighter jet, and MSTR is a rocket ship. Strategy currently holds 818,334 Bitcoin, accounting for approximately 3.9% of the total supply of 21 million coins. STRC has reached a scale of $8.5 billion within nine months.
