At the opening of the US stock market, the Nasdaq fell 0.62%, the S&P 500 Index fell 0.15%, and the Dow Jones rose 0.35%. Samsung Electronics' performance affected the memory sector, with Micron Technology and SanDisk falling over 6%, Western Digital falling over 5%, and Seagate Technology dropping over 4%. Walmart rose nearly 2%. Walmart and Sam's Club will implement price cuts across the US, which US President Trump called a patriotic move. Amazon rose more than 1% and plans to issue at least $25 billion in bonds to invest in AI infrastructure.
