Foresight News reported that Chromia has issued a statement noting the sharp decline in the price of CHR and reaffirming that Chromia has not been hacked. The CHR token contract, cross-chain bridge, and protocol infrastructure have not been affected. According to the official statement, the incident was caused by the wallet of a long-term holder being compromised, with all assets (worth approximately 2.26 million USD, including 28.7 million CHR) transferred to a new wallet and completely emptied within roughly 2.5 hours. The volatility in CHR price was solely due to selling pressure and not the result of an exploited protocol vulnerability.

According to Bitget market data, Chromia’s CHR token has fallen by 23.96% in the past four hours and is now trading at 0.013 USDT.
