SOL meme coin CATE market cap quickly reaches $9.5 million, surging over 230 times in a day
According to ChainCatcher, based on GMGN data, the SOL meme coin CATE's market capitalization briefly surged past 9.5 million USD, with an intraday increase of over 230 times. It is currently reported at 7.09 million USD. CATE's market popularity stems from a new kitten rescue video published by DOGE owner @kabosumama.
Subsequently, community user @HimothyGoggins reposted and speculated that the kitten's name is "Hiromi", but this claim has not been confirmed by Kabosu's owner. Afterwards, @thedevrrrrrrr suggested to "run CATE like DOGE", and the token was then quickly created on Pump.fun, attracting the community's attention.
It should be noted that there is currently no evidence that the cat is named Hiromi, nor has it been officially confirmed as CATE. The CATE name originates from the previous "Cate" cat meme, which has been reused by the community for this event. CATE is not an official token from Kabosu's owner, nor is it named after the actual cat. Instead, it is a community meme coin based on real events combined with an existing internet meme. According to market reports, meme coin prices are highly volatile. Be aware of market risks.
