Glonghui, July 28 | Following the decline in US tech stocks overnight, Japanese stocks opened lower, with the Nikkei 225 extending its losses to 3% and falling below 63,000 points. Uncertainty over the Iran conflict is also weighing on the market. Chip and metal stocks are leading the losses. Advantest fell 8.0%, and Mitsui Kinzoku dropped 6.1%. After Saudi Arabia said it intercepted drones launched at its oil facilities by Iranian-backed militias from Iraq, investors are closely watching the development of crude oil prices and the situation in the Middle East.
