According to Bits.media, Andrey Svintsov, Deputy Chairman of the Information Policy Committee of the Russian State Duma, advised citizens to stop purchasing Gram tokens created by Pavel Durov, and to avoid any financial operations within the Telegram ecosystem. He recommended waiting for official comments from the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications and the Federal Security Service of Russia. Andrey Svintsov stated that Russian authorities require Telegram to open an office in Russia, store user data within the country, and cooperate with Russian intelligence agencies.
