Qualcomm to Increase Chip Prices by Double-Digit Percentage Starting September 1
In BlockBeats news on July 30, during the Qualcomm earnings conference call, CEO Amon revealed that Qualcomm plans to increase product prices starting from September 1, with the increase reaching double digits, in order to drive profitability back to historical levels. He stated that the price hike is driven by the rising costs across the entire supply chain, not just the impact of memory chip price increases. Amon said the company will conduct pricing negotiations with each customer individually, stating that "the temporary slight decline in gross margin is due to the phased misalignment of cost and pricing."
