Brent crude oil futures have just surpassed the $86.00 per barrel mark, now quoted at $86.01 per barrel, down 1.35% on the day.

European stock indexes rose in early trading as European tech stocks followed the gains of Asian tech stocks. Falling oil prices also boosted the indexes. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose 0.8%, reaching a record high. In Amsterdam, the Netherlands AEX index, which is heavily weighted with semiconductor stocks, was up 0.2%. ASML gained 3.4% and ASM International surged 5.4%. However, Universal Music Group plummeted more than 21% after releasing its earnings. Supported by mining stocks and a
