Treasury Yields Rise in Month That Saw Inflation Fears Revive -- Market Talk

The impact is heavier on longer-term government debt, amid concerns that leniency with inflation now could result in higher interest rates down the road. U.S. consumer and business sentiment improve. Next week brings key labor data. Crude prices rise more than 20% in July. The 10-year yield adds 0.323 percentage point in July, to 4.743%, its highest level since January 2025.
