Great Pacific Gold reports broad shallow gold intercepts at Kavasuki target in PNG Wild Dog project
Reuters2026/09/01 11:32- Great Pacific Gold reported results from a 12-hole, 1,845-meter maiden diamond program at Kavasuki in Papua New Guinea.
- Drilling hit broad, shallow gold intercepts, led by 58.9 meters at 2.43 g/t gold in KVH-01; 38.4 meters at 2.07 g/t in KVH-03.
- Best mineralization concentrated from surface to roughly 70 meters vertical depth; the main vein continues below with weaker grades at tested levels.
- Reinterpretation of historical induced polarization data linked the main chargeability response to disseminated pyrite, not gold, reshaping target ranking.
- Rigs shifted to drill Magiabe and Mengmut within the Wild Dog corridor as the Main Zone program advances toward additional targets.
