Tesla Full Self-Driving Enters French Road Testing

06:49 AM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) has begun on-road tests of its Full Self-Driving system in France, Reuters reported on Thursday citing French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot said. The report said France is testing two Tesla vehicles to verify data from the Netherlands and assess FSD on French roads. France aims to complete testing by mid-to-late September and could vote on EU approval as early as October or in early December, Reuters said. Tesla did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment. FSD can steer, accelerate and brake but still requires a human driver to monitor the vehicle and intervene when needed.
