Robinhood CEO: Tokenization Will Take U.S. Capital Market Advantage Global
BlockBeats News, September 5th, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev posted, stating that tokenization can enable global users to access high-quality financial assets, bringing the advantages of the U.S. capital market to more investors in a globalized manner. He pointed out that the current tokenization industry is still relatively small compared to the global financial system, but its advantages are becoming increasingly hard to ignore.
Tenev stated that the traditional financial market infrastructure is built around fixed trading hours, closed networks, and multi-layered intermediaries, and is not designed to meet the demands of "24/7 trading, programmable assets, composability, and self-custody." The pace of development of investor demands has already outstripped the iteration speed of traditional financial infrastructure. Robinhood is committed to driving this change.
He believes that more and more entrepreneurs, liquidity providers, traders, and infrastructure teams are collectively driving the industry's development. However, tokenized finance is still in its early stages, and it will take time for traditional financial institutions to be fully involved in this field.
