Jake Claver Says Most XRP Holders Aren’t Ready for Major Price Rally. Here’s why
Most XRP holders are focused on price targets. Crypto expert Jake Claver is focused on something else.
In a recent post, he asked a question that cuts through the noise of moon talk and milestone chasing. Are holders actually prepared for a major price appreciation, or will they be forced to react when it arrives?
Claver’s post centers on readiness, not speculation. He argues that fixating on a number, whether it’s $5, $10, or $50, misses the real challenge. Having a plan before the move happens is what separates disciplined investors from those who panic-sell or freeze up entirely.
Claver’s Position
Claver’s message is that rice targets alone don’t produce outcomes. Investors require a blueprint. Claver points out that most holders have never defined what they’ll actually do when XRP reaches a significant valuation. At what price do they take profits? How much do they hold? What percentage do they sell and when?
These are the questions he wants the community thinking about. While he has previously set high targets for XRP, his post doesn’t focus on a price or a timeline. It challenges holders to treat their XRP position like a real financial decision with a structured exit or management strategy attached.
XRP Army Reactions
The post drew a range of responses from XRP holders. BankXRP, a prominent figure in the community, admitted plans to sell 2% if XRP ever hit a certain target he can say out loud without laughing, calling it a sticky note and nothing more. Another acknowledged having personal goals and numbers in mind but said the price needs to actually move before any of it feels real enough to act on.
One user pointed out that the same conversation repeats every cycle. He noted XRP was above $3 in 2018 and has yet to match that level, with some holders still waiting on a recovery that hasn’t arrived. Another kept it simple, saying he holds and hopes.
Why Preparation Matters
Claver’s post tackles a straightforward concern. Volatility rewards those who have already decided what they’ll do. Holders who wait until a price target is reached to start thinking through a plan often act on emotion rather than strategy.
Recent data showed Coinbase whales with sell orders at $33, suggesting whales are ready for XRP to hit that level. Whether holders are actually prepared for a significant price move is a different question entirely, and one Claver thinks deserves a real answer before the moment arrives.
