XRP Price Faces Key Resistance Before $2 Target

  • XRP remains below $1.56 after reclaiming its range, keeping the breakout level central to the current market structure.
  • A sustained break above $1.56 could shift attention toward $1.70, $1.80, and the chart’s $2.00 target.
  • The broader setup remains range-bound after lower liquidity was swept, with resistance now controlling the next directional move.

XRP price remains positioned between major support and resistance levels after a sharp recovery. The broader structure continues developing inside a defined range. The latest decline has returned attention toward nearby short-term support.

XRP Remains Inside a Defined Trading Range

The overall chart indicates that XRP is currently trading in a range of $1.32-$1.56. Price spent several months moving repeatedly between these boundaries. During that period, the lower boundary received several tests from sellers.

Eventually, price moved below the $1.32 area and swept liquidity underneath. The breakdown failed to produce sustained downside continuation after that move. Instead, XRP reversed sharply and expanded back toward the range.

That recovery restored the price to the previously established trading structure. The move also carried XRP toward the range’s upper boundary. However, the $1.55–$1.56 zone remains unbroken resistance.

The post also identified the upper boundary as the remaining major hurdle. The analysis indicates the following confirmation levels: $1.70, $1.80 and $2.00.

The short-term chart indicates a return of selling pressure

The latest price chart presents a weaker short-term structure than the broader setup. XRP initially climbed toward approximately $1.44 before reversing lower. That rejection produced a sequence of lower highs across the displayed session.

Price subsequently lost the $1.42 area during the decline. Selling pressure then pushed the market toward $1.40. Several rebounds appeared around that level but failed to establish lasting recovery.

The decline continued toward $1.38 before another brief bounce developed. Those rebounds remained limited beneath nearby resistance. Consequently, sellers maintained control across most of the displayed intraday movement.

Current price is around $1.37, placing XRP near the session’s lower boundary. The latest candles show relatively compressed movement around that area. This suggests consolidation has developed after the recent downward move.

$1.56 Breakout Remains the Main Technical Trigger

The broader setup remains dependent on how XRP handles the $1.55–$1.56 resistance. A confirmed move above that area would change the current range structure. The chart then identifies $1.70 as the first higher level.

The next marked resistance appears around $1.80 on the displayed setup. Above that zone, the chart places the larger objective at $2.00. These levels remain projected until price confirms a breakout.

Meanwhile, the lower range remains important following the earlier liquidity sweep. The $1.32 area represents the lower boundary of the established structure. A sustained return below that region would weaken the current reclaimed-range setup.

For now, XRP remains caught between short-term weakness and broader recovery structure. The immediate chart shows support under pressure while resistance remains overhead. The larger setup therefore depends on range stability and eventual movement beyond $1.56.

August CPI "hot" just right? Wall Street intensively bets on Fed rate hike next week, Waller can't cry wolf this time

New "Fed News Agency" analyzes CPI: Core inflation has cooled annually, but short-term trends are picking up again. After the CPI release, at least two institutions that previously expected the Federal Reserve to keep rates unchanged next week have now shifted to expecting a rate hike. While Wall Street does not necessarily believe U.S. inflation is out of control again, more market participants think that, with disinflation stalling and oil prices rising again, the Fed needs to implement a precautionary rate hike as a policy adjustment. Divergence among institutions is emerging: will the rate hike in September be a precautionary move, or the start of a new tightening cycle? Whether there will be another hike in December remains a new suspense.

Saudi Arabia's key oil pipeline attacked on Thursday, sharp decline in Red Sea shipping through Bab-el-Mandeb; Houthi rebels claim to have captured 5,400 square kilometers in 9 days

According to American media, the attacked pipeline is responsible for transporting crude oil between Saudi Arabia’s eastern oil fields and export facilities on the Red Sea coast. Its core function is to help Saudi Arabia bypass the Strait of Hormuz for oil exports. According to data from Saudi industry media, only six vessels passed through the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait on Thursday, a significant drop from 30 vessels on the 9th. The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that next Monday, Iran, Iraq, and other Gulf countries will meet in Oman to discuss the establishment of a secure commercial shipping route in the Strait of Hormuz.
