(1) Lorenzo Simonelli, Chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes (BKR.US), stated that there are no signs yet of rising borrowing costs leading to a slowdown in investment in large-scale energy projects.
(2) He pointed out that the construction of global artificial intelligence infrastructure is driving strong demand for natural gas and electricity.
(3) Simonelli said: "We have not yet seen any signs of an investment slowdown, and whether projects can secure financing actually depends on existing offtake agreements and the outlook for energy demand."
(4) He noted that although financing remains an important factor in project consideration, population growth, industrial development, and increased energy demand from data centers continue to support related investments.
