Sector Update: Healthcare

03:13 PM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Healthcare stocks were mixed late Wednesday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index fractionally lower and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) up 0.1%. The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was 0.2% lower. In corporate news, Novo Nordisk (NVO) is collaborating with AI firm Anthropic to try to address key drug discovery challenges, develop targeted solutions and accelerate the development of new medicines, the companies said Wednesday. Novo shares were down 2.1%.
