406 Billion in Shiba Inu (SHIB) Have Landed: Analyzing the Effect

  u.today 24 m

Shiba Inu is seeing another substantial shift in exchange flows, with roughly 406 billion $SHIB separating the latest inflow and outflow figures. The data currently favors withdrawals, potentially reducing the amount of $SHIB immediately available for sale while the token attempts to maintain its recent recovery.

Pressure on exchanges

Exchange inflows currently stand at approximately 287.2 billion $SHIB, while outflows have reached 356.7 billion. More importantly, total exchange netflow is negative at roughly 101.2 billion $SHIB. Negative netflow generally indicates that more tokens are leaving centralized exchanges than entering them, which can reduce immediate sell-side liquidity.

Exchange reserves support this interpretation. Total $SHIB held on exchanges declined 0.11% over 24 hours to approximately 88.03 trillion tokens. The dollar value of those reserves fell 1.42% to around $519.4 million.

However, the picture is not uniformly bullish. The seven-day moving average of mean exchange outflows has collapsed 51.4%, suggesting that the intensity of withdrawals has weakened substantially. Active addresses are also almost unchanged, rising just 0.87%. In other words, there is no obvious explosion in network demand accompanying the exchange withdrawals.

Market Uncertainty

$SHIB currently trades around $0.00000589 after recovering strongly from September's sub-$0.00000500 levels. Crucially, the price remains above the major long-term moving average near $0.00000565. That level has repeatedly attracted buyers during recent corrections and now represents the most important immediate support.

On the upside, $SHIB continues to struggle with the $0.00000600–$0.00000610 region. Multiple attempts to establish a sustained breakout have failed, while the September peak around $0.00000630 remains the larger technical barrier.

The RSI remains moderately bullish without reaching overbought territory, so momentum itself does not prevent another breakout attempt.

The exchange data therefore gives $SHIB some support, but 406 billion tokens alone are unlikely to determine its direction. Bulls still need to convert declining exchange reserves and negative netflows into actual demand. A breakout above $0.00000610, followed by $0.00000630, would provide that confirmation. Losing $0.00000560 instead would undermine the current recovery and expose $SHIB to another move toward $0.00000540–$0.00000500.

S&P 500 Hits a New High, but Gains Are Mostly Driven by AI Trading

Although US stocks have reached historic highs, the market is severely polarized, with gains heavily reliant on AI-driven tech giants. Under macro pressures such as Federal Reserve rate hikes, high US Treasury yields, and elevated oil prices, funds view cash-rich tech giants as safe havens, resulting in broad pressure on small-cap stocks and traditional sectors. Despite technical risks, this narrow-range rally continues to temporarily support the broader market.
