ZachXBT questions whether Sam Altman-affiliated project World is obtaining biometric data from users in low-income countries by distributing tokens.
Odaily reported that achXBT posted on X platform criticizing the Sam Altman affiliated project World (formerly WorldCoin), questioning its practice of distributing WLD tokens in exchange for biometric data from users in low-income countries. He also criticized the low circulation token design of WLD, claiming that the related identity verification system has led to a black market for verified accounts, and raised concerns about the token inflation mechanism and off-market position transfers.

Anza releases a preview of Solana's post-quantum security roadmap, aiming to proactively prepare for quantum threat protection
Foresight News reports that Anza Chief Economist Max Resnick and Stanford University applied cryptography PhD Sam Kim have jointly published an article titled "Protecting Solana from the Threat of Large-Scale Quantum Attacks." The article points out that the latest research from Google Quantum and Oratomic shows a significant reduction in the resources required to break the 256-bit Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem (ECDLP-256), and quantum computers may pose a practical threat within 5 years (probability estimated at 3-5%). Solana currently faces risks in four critical components relying on elliptic curve cryptography: the account model (Ed25519 signatures), block propagation (Turbine/Rotor), consensus (Alpenglow BLS signatures), and signature verification in user-defined programs. To address these threats, the team has proposed a post-quantum migration plan, including adopting NIST-standardized post-quantum signature schemes (such as FALCON); implementing migration mechanisms that preserve unchanged addresses (based on ZK proof of Ed25519 seeds); increasing transaction sizes to accommodate larger signatures; and upgrading SVM, Networking, and Consensus layers.
