Bitget Appoints MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo as UEX Eco Security Ambassador
BlockBeats News, January 28th – On the occasion of International Data Privacy Day, Bitget officially announced the appointment of MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo as its Security Ambassador. Taking this opportunity, the two parties launched a security education video series consisting of five modules, systematically explaining methods to prevent phishing attacks, two-factor authentication, risk s, as well as Bitget's Protection Fund and Merkle Tree Reserve Proof mechanisms. This series, starting from Lorenzo's iconic "X-Fuera" racing perspective, interprets how, within the panoramic User Experience (UEX) platform ecosystem, a broader view and information acquisition can enhance the security and rationality of trading decisions. The related security education content is simultaneously linked with Bitget's Anti-Fraud Center. This center went live in June 2025, consistently providing users with real-time fraud warnings and security tools. Currently, Bitget has a Protection Fund exceeding $300 million and continues to release Merkle Tree Reserve Proof on a monthly basis, ensuring that user assets are fully backed with a 1:1 ratio. Jorge Lorenzo stated that both motorsports and the digital asset field require a precise balance between speed and security; Bitget CEO Gracy Chen also pointed out that through this collaboration, they hope to further enhance users' proactive awareness of digital asset security and drive the industry towards continuous improvement in transparency and security standards.

Community users reveal they were approached and asked to post negative comments about a certain exchange
On January 28, it was reported that a user from the crypto community recently posted that they had been contacted by a third party via instant messaging a few weeks ago. The third party offered to pay them to continuously publish negative content targeting a certain exchange and its related ecosystem. The user stated that such approaches are not isolated incidents and believes that the recent concentrated public opinion against a certain exchange coincides with these behaviors in terms of timing. It is possible that some individuals have accepted such offers, or that new accounts have been created specifically to manipulate public opinion.
