Spot platinum just broke through the $1,610.00/ounce mark and is now quoted at $1,609.66/ounce, up 0.32% on the day; the main Nymex platinum futures contract is currently quoted at $1,621.2/ounce, down 0.13% on the day.

Spot gold has just broken through the $4,060.00/oz mark, now quoted at $4,059.42/oz, up 0.77% on the day; COMEX gold futures main contract is now quoted at $4,058.70/oz, up 0.50% on the day.

U.S. long-term Treasury yields rose further after the Federal Reserve meeting: the 10-year Treasury yield recently increased by 5.7 basis points to 4.661%; the 20-year Treasury yield was up 9.05 basis points to 5.205%; and the 30-year Treasury yield increased by 9.84 basis points to 5.193%, previously reaching 5.213%, the highest level since July 2007.
