Wheat Ends Wednesday with Modest Increases
Wheat Markets Edge Up Midweek
Wheat futures experienced modest increases across all three major exchanges on Wednesday. Chicago SRW contracts advanced by 2 cents in the near-term months, while Kansas City HRW futures gained between 2 and 3 cents. Minneapolis spring wheat also ended the session with slight upward movement.
The latest 7-day outlook from NOAA predicts minimal rainfall for the Southern Plains in the coming week, with only light precipitation expected in regions where SRW wheat is grown.

Traders are awaiting Thursday morning's Export Sales report, which is expected to show 2025/26 wheat bookings ranging from 100,000 to 450,000 metric tons for the week of January 8. Projections for 2026/27 sales are between 0 and 50,000 metric tons.
FranceAgriMer has raised its estimate for French soft wheat ending stocks to 2.8 million metric tons, a slight increase from the previous month.
