JetBlue Reports $177 Million Loss in Fourth Quarter
JetBlue Airways, headquartered in Long Island City, New York, announced on Tuesday that it experienced a net loss of $177 million during the fourth quarter.
The company reported a loss of 48 cents per share, while the adjusted loss, which excludes one-time gains, was 49 cents per share.
These figures fell short of analyst expectations. According to a survey by Zacks Investment Research involving seven analysts, the anticipated loss per share was 45 cents.
Despite the loss, JetBlue generated $2.24 billion in revenue for the quarter, surpassing the consensus estimate of $2.22 billion from six analysts polled by Zacks.
