Hanover Insurance Group Announces Strong Fourth-Quarter Results
Hanover Insurance Group Inc., headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts, revealed on Tuesday that it achieved a net income of $198.5 million for the fourth quarter.
The company reported earnings of $5.47 per share, with adjusted earnings—excluding certain one-time items—reaching $5.79 per share.
These figures surpassed the expectations of Wall Street analysts, as a consensus of three experts polled by Zacks Investment Research had anticipated earnings of $5.20 per share.
During the quarter, Hanover Insurance generated $1.67 billion in revenue, with adjusted revenue totaling $1.69 billion.
For the entire year, the company recorded a profit of $662.5 million, translating to $18.16 per share, and reported annual revenue of $6.64 billion.
