Chipotle's CEO aims to attract more diners earning above $100,000 — signaling that menu prices are set to rise
Chipotle Shifts Strategy Toward Affluent Customers
Chipotle is adjusting its business approach to appeal more to higher-earning individuals, a move that may soon be reflected in its menu pricing. In a recent earnings call, interim CEO Scott Boatwright revealed that the company is concentrating on its core customer base to boost both store visits and overall sales. Interestingly, this group tends to have annual incomes exceeding $100,000.
According to Boatwright, these customers are generally younger, tech-savvy, and value healthy, high-protein meals made with quality ingredients—values that closely align with Chipotle’s brand mission. This strategic focus aims to strengthen the company’s connection with its most loyal patrons.
