XRP Wins Major Partnership

College sports have become an unlikely frontier for cryptocurrency adoption. Ripple is planting its XRP brand inside some of the most recognized athletic programs in the country. The Florida Gators announced a multi-year partnership with Ripple on September 4, 2026.

The agreement brings the XRP logo to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium beginning with the 2026 Florida football season. The XRP logo will be prominently featured on the field itself.

Florida Athletics’ Multi-Year Deal

The deal extends beyond stadium branding. It includes digital properties, event signage, and a long-term commitment to the university. Ripple will also support financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes and the campus community, covering both traditional finance and digital assets.

Scott Stricklin, University of Florida Director of Athletics, spoke directly to the significance of the partnership. “Ripple has established itself as an innovative leader in financial technology, and we’re excited to welcome XRP to Gator Nation.”

A Second School Joins the XRP Roster

Florida’s deal follows Ripple’s partnership with Kansas Athletics, announced earlier this year. That agreement put XRP on Kansas Jayhawks jerseys, marking the first time a cryptocurrency appeared on a uniform in major college sports. The Kansas deal established Ripple as a serious player in college athletics sponsorship.

Florida’s deal takes a different approach: the XRP logo will appear on the field, along with digital properties and event signage across the athletics program.

Two high-profile college athletics partnerships in a single year put XRP in front of some of the most passionate fan bases in American sports. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium regularly hosts tens of thousands of fans on game days.

The announcement also revealed that Ripple holds over 85 licenses globally. It highlighted the company’s MiCA authorization in the EU and the XRP Ledger’s speed and low cost. The bothering question is whether these partnerships will lead to a price or adoption increase.
